A 45-minute annotation rhythm
Between cohort weekends, traders ask how to practice without turning every evening into an endless redraw. This is the rhythm we assign.
Minutes 0–10 · Select and print
Choose one instrument and one timeframe you actually trade. Print a clean chart. No screenshots on a glowing laptop for this drill — paper slows impulsive extra lines.
Minutes 10–25 · Markup pass
Mark swing structure, then decision levels only. Speak one sentence per mark. If you cannot speak it, erase it. Keep pencils limited to two colors: structure and decisions.
Minutes 25–35 · Stress pass
Ask three hostile questions: Where would this break? What would make me stay flat? Which mark is vanity? Circle survivors.
Minutes 35–45 · Notebook transfer
Write three lines into your journal: market bias from structure, levels that matter tomorrow, and one behavior to avoid (for example, mid-session redrawing). Stop when the timer ends even if the page feels unfinished — unfinished practice is still practice.
Graduates of the Chart Annotation Workshop often pair this rhythm with a weekly Trading Plan Studio evening when their rule language starts to drift.
